After my second spell in hospital (and hopefully the last) I had the first of two shows this weekend.  This one being Newton Abbot & South Devon Open Show at Exeter Livestock Centre.  Miss molly wins the class and takes BEST OF BREED AND Monty takes BEST OPPOSITE SEX.  Obviously being the proud owner and breeder of them both photos had to be taken

The next day we showed at Tavistock & District Open Show at Wadebridge and once again Miss Molly won BEST OF BREED and was in the final six of the gundog group.  Now if my GP is listening and all my fellow exhibitors who have been telling me to REST, I will do for a short while!

Well it was Devon County Show today….the weather was typical as usual for the start

of the agricultural show but we had a great day…..Flourenn Honey Star Dream ShCM 

“my Miss Molly” won the Open Class and then went on to win BOB.

It was a really strong Gundog group and although we didn’t go any further she performed

 Perfectly .....thanks Molls!!!

We attended the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Show today …..the weather was just right for

the dogs (not good enough for my tan though) and Flourenn Honey Star Dream ShCM “Miss

Molly” won the open bitch class and then went on to win BEST OF BREED thanks again Molls.

This is the third year in a row we have won BOB there.  Monty won BOB in 2006 and Miss

 Molly won it in 2007 and now 2008 (Keep it in the family kids!!!! )

Meanwhile Flourenn Honey Star King “Monty” is having his run of winning at Companion Shows

and has now had his “hat-trick” of RESERVE BEST IN SHOWS.  One in March one in May and one in June.

We attended the Cornish National today and what a good time I had.  After my spell in hospital and the medical professionals saying I wouldn't be well enough to show for a while, I was determined to show today. Flourenn Honey Star Dream ShCM (Miss Molly) won Best of Breed which was brilliant.(Good girl Molls)

Then Liz (Brelade Cocker Spaniels) Chris (Gwbert Cocker Spaniels) and myself got dressed up for the Team Stakes.  Reluctantly, Liz and Chris wore the GOLD head-dress I made for us and yes you can guess the rest . . . . . .out of 20 other teams . . . . . . .WE WON!!!!!!   How Brilliant!!

To crown the day Flourenn Honey Star King went in the money stakes came 7th and we were “in the money”

Flourenn Honey Star King “Monty” wins his BEST IN SHOW  at his latest Companion Show. After winning 3 RESERVE BEST IN SHOWS it was just a matter of time  GOOD BOY MONTY and don't you look very handsome in your photo???

Today we went to Plymouth & District Show at Exeter and today Miss Molly won RES BEST OF BREED but just as I was getting disheartened Monty went into Harvest Stakes with about 20 others and won 3rd prize winning a bottle of wine VERY NICE!! and then I entered Miss Molly in the Open Stakes with about 50 others and she won 2nd prize and £45.  VERY NICE ENDING TO THE DAY I SAY!!!

The next day was up at Wadebridge to Camborne & Reduth Show where Miss Molly once again won BEST OF BREED which completed the newly formed “TEAM SPANIEL” Nancey with her American Cocker Spaniel Scarlet, Chrissie with her Cocker Spaniel Edwin and Miss Molly and I who were all eligible for the gundog group.  Nancey won Group 3 and Chrissie and I were . . . . . . . . .delighted!!!!

Cornwall Gun Dog Jubilee Show today and Miss Molly continuing with her run of success won BEST OF BREED and as a celebration of it being their Jubilee show all best of breed winners won a glass photo frame.

We attended Liskeard Show today and even though this time Miss Molly didn't win Best of Breed she went into a ShCM Stakes class and won Ist prize plus £20 I was delighted and I now know where to go for a sub!!  Chrissie (Gwbert Cockers) had a lovely day by winning Res Best in Show with Edwin (yes photos were taken)

North Devon Show today and Miss Molly won Best of Breed and Mr Monty won Res Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex.  Miss Molly then went in the group and got placed THIRD best Gundog

At Penzance & District Show today both Monty (handled beautifully by Garfield!!) and Molly won their classes and MONTY won Best of Breed over Molly which meant that Molly returned her granny’s memorial tankard and Molly brought it back home, how lovely!

Molly fights back after being beaten by her brother and not only wins Best of Breed but goes on to win Best Gundog with superb rosettes from Plymouth & District K A 75th Anniversary Show.  Before we came home Molly went in the stakes and won 6th and more money for the family, so all in all I had a lovely day and came home with my hands full of prizes.
